Kenza Dali (born July 31, 1991 in Sainte-Colombe ) is a French football player .

Club career

Kenza Dali came as a 14-year-old from an amateur club to the youth department of Olympique Lyon , where only two years later she was increasingly used in the second women's team, which competed in the third division. In 2007 she became a national B youth player (see below) . For Lyons first division she was substituted on in November 2009 in a league game against ESOF La Roche during the second half. After this was her only assignment, she decided half a year later to change clubs to AF Rodez . There the 1.65 m tall, offensive midfielder played all 22 league games and played a major role in the fact that the promoted team finished in a respectable sixth place in the season's final table.

In addition, the capital club Paris Saint-Germain brought her to the Seine immediately afterwards , for which she played in 82 of the 88 point games in the following four seasons up to 2015 and scored 33 goals in them. With the PSG, she has been runner-up three times (2013 to 2014). She has not yet won a title in the national cup either, but was in the Paris starting line-up in the 2013/14 final in the 2013/14 competition , as well as in the 2014/15 Champions League final , which she won with PSG against 1. FFC Frankfurt with 1: 2 lost.

In the summer of 2016, Kenza Dali returned to her training club Olympique Lyon, where she subsequently found it difficult to secure a regular place, mainly due to a knee injury. In January 2018, Lyon therefore loaned them to the new league OSC Lille . After only six months she moved on to the first division novice FCO Dijon and twelve months later to the English Super League participant West Ham United .

In the national team

Kenza Dali wore the French national dress as a youth in the U-17 (five games, three goals in 2007 and 2008) and the U-19 selection (seven games, also three goals, all in 2009). Women's national coach Bruno Bini brought her to France's second women's team (France B) in spring 2012 ; then it took almost two years before Bini's successor Philippe Bergeroo reinstated her.

Bergeroo called the midfielder in November 2013 in the French A squad for two World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria , but did not use them. Dali played her first international match in the late summer of 2014, again in a World Cup qualifying match (against Hungary ), and Bergeroo also took her into account in the next two decisive encounters, each against Finland - even in France's starting lineup. Kenza Dali scored her first goal at the end of 2014 when she scored 2-0 against Brazil . She was part of the squad for the 2015 World Cup in Canada and was used in two games in the group stage of the tournament. This was followed by a ten-month break due to injury before Bergeroo considered them again in spring 2016. For the 2016 Olympic football tournament , the coach nominated Dali as one of four reservists who could move up to the French squad if necessary. Even under Bergeroo's successor Olivier Echouafni , who has been in office since September 2016 , she initially belongs to France's A squad before an almost two-year break in her international career occurred. It was not until autumn 2018 - Corinne Diacre was now training French women - she wore the blue dress again. In her 27 international matches so far, Dali has scored four goals.
