Kerstin Petry (* 1971 ) is a German journalist , television presenter and spokesperson for audiovisual media .

Life

Petry completed a degree in journalism , political science and German at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . From 1996 to 1999 she was editor and presenter for RTL 2 News . Many assignments as a presenter, reporter and author for private and public television stations followed.

In June 2003 she joined ARD Aktuell and moderated the very first broadcast of EinsExtra Aktuell on EinsExtra, the information program of ARD , today Tagesschau 24 . She was in front of the camera for this program until 2017.

From July 2004 to October 2006 she presented the news with the regional magazine Saxony-Anhalt today on the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR).

At the beginning of 2006 the journalist took over the vacation replacement for Gabi Bauer and Ingo Zamperoni at the moderation of the news program Nachtmagazin on the ARD. She also moderated the ARD Wochenspiegel . From 2012 to 2017 she was regularly seen on the Tagesschau .

Kerstin Petry works as a spokesperson for advertising, TV, image and explanatory films and e-learning . She also advises companies and corporations on the implementation of video productions and image and recruiting films .

Kerstin Petry is married and lives with her husband and their two sons near Cologne .
