Kesdorf is a district of the municipality of Süsel in the Schleswig-Holstein district of Ostholstein .

location

Kesdorf is about eight kilometers south of the district town of Eutin and about 30 kilometers north of Lübeck . The federal highways 76 and 432 are four and three kilometers away, and the federal highway 1 via the Scharbeutz junction is eight kilometers away. The nearest train station is in Pönitz .

The village, which is largely located in the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park , is bordered by the Schwartau to the north and east .

history

Kesdorf was 1,359 as Kestorpe first mentioned in documents and was subject to the 19th century a variety of changes of ownership. With the Plön Treaty of 1842, the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg initially ceded the village to Holstein, before it fell to the Principality of Lübeck as part of the Ahrensbök office with the Kiel Treaty of 1867 . The village, which belongs to the parish of Gleschendorf , was initially part of the parish of Siblin before it was incorporated into the parish of Süsel together with Barkau as part of the Oldenburg Simplification Act of 1933 .
