Kevin Pezzoni (born March 22, 1989 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German soccer player . The defensive player was most recently under contract with FC Gießen .

After the youth stations Rot-Weiß Walldorf and SV Darmstadt 98 , Pezzoni, whose father is Italian, moved to the youth department of Eintracht Frankfurt . There he was discovered by the scouts of the English club Blackburn Rovers and committed as a youth player for the 2003/04 season.

In January 2008, Pezzoni signed his first professional contract with 1. FC Köln , for which he played for the first time in the 2nd Bundesliga on March 23, 2008 against SV Wehen Wiesbaden . For a long time he didn't play a major role in the FC squad. But after he had convinced with his performance in a game against FC Schalke 04 , he developed into a regular player in the second half of the 2008/09 season.

In February 2012, at a carnival party , he was suddenly hit in the face by a disguised stranger and his nose was broken. As a result, he played the games in the spring of 2012 with a specially made face mask.

On August 31, 2012, his contract with 1. FC Köln was terminated after Pezzoni was threatened by strangers who had been waiting for him at his house, among other places. On September 5, 2012, Pezzoni filed a criminal complaint with the Cologne public prosecutor's office against unknown persons through his lawyer . Before that, Pezzoni had made short appearances in the 1. FC Köln games against SV Sandhausen and Erzgebirge Aue .

On December 21, 2012, Pezzoni signed a contract with FC Erzgebirge Aue until June 30, 2014. Pezzoni played his first game for Aue on February 2, 2013 in the 2-1 defeat in the away game against 1. FC Köln. On his return he managed to equalize in the 79th minute of the game. Since he no longer played a major role in Aue, he dissolved his contract there on January 20, 2014 and joined the third division club 1. FC Saarbrücken . After 1. FC Saarbrücken was relegated to the Regionalliga West , he left the club and moved to Switzerland for FC Wohlen . Due to good performances in Switzerland, he returned to Germany in summer 2015 and moved to the 3rd division for SV Wehen Wiesbaden , where his contract was extended for another year in summer 2017. In the summer of 2018 he moved to the Greek first division club Apollon Smyrnis . After almost two months he left the club and joined SC Hessen Dreieich in the Regionalliga Südwest . With the club he rose from bottom of the table in the league.

After descending the Dreieicher he joined the season 2019/20 the Southwest division side Kickers Offenbach on. Pezzoni completed thirteen first round games for the Kickers, in which he was able to prepare a hit.

During the winter break, the defensive player moved to league rivals FC Gießen . After only three games played in the second half of the season, he left the club at the end of the season.

National team

Between 2005 and 2009 Pezzoni played a total of 23 games for youth national teams of the DFB .
