Key Concepts in Interreligious Discourses (KCID) is an interdisciplinary research center of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt , which specializes in the study of Judaism , Christianity and Islam .

Key Concepts in Interreligious Discourses (KCID) was launched in 2016 under the leadership of Georges Tamer with the Chair for Oriental Philology and Islamic Studies in Erlangen, after he had already repeatedly advocated the creation of a scientific basis for interreligious dialogue , especially between Jews and Muslims and Christians. After several specialist conferences, it was expanded into a research center. KCID would like to work out key concepts of the individual monotheistic religions. Scientists should work out a key concept of their religion from their own religion, always in relation to the two other religions. Key concepts from the Abrahamic religions are, for example, revelation , faith , truth , justice or freedom . Contributions are published in German, English and Arabic, with a national focus. Interdisciplinary competencies from the areas of Jewish Studies , Islamic Studies , Theology , Philosophy , Psychology, etc. a. be bundled in a targeted manner.
