The Kiel is a port and sea tug with Schottel drive built at the Lindenau shipyard in Kiel . It is used both in the port of Kiel and in the Baltic Sea region.

Technical data and equipment

The machine power of the tractor is 2 × 2,100 kW , which corresponds to a total of 5,712 hp . In addition, a bow thruster with 220 kW (300 PS) is available. A pulling force of up to 68 t ( bollard pull ) can thus be achieved on the cable .

The hull is made of shipbuilding steel.
