  • Catholic chapel

In Kiensee there is a small Catholic chapel, which was built in 1878 and expanded a little later. This chapel was built on a small hill about eight meters high. At the time of secularization in 1802/1803, monks from the nearby Benedictine monastery Benediktbeuern allegedly buried a large part of the valuable church property there in order to “protect it from being used for secular purposes”.
