Mürnsee

Mürnsee is a district of the Bad Heilbrunn community in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district , Upper Bavaria .

The village is located on the northern edge of the Alps on the right northern bank of the Reindlbach, east of the Loisach, at 597 to 602 m above sea level. NHN . Neighboring places are Bocksberg , Reindlschmiede , Kiensee and Unterkarpfsee .

history

The first inhabitants are said to have settled there as early as the 13th century. Today the village has about 70 households . In the 1960s, classes three and five were taught at the Schönrain elementary school in Mürnsee, as these were relocated to Mürnsee due to lack of space at the Bad Heilbrunn elementary school. The building at number 13 is used today for business purposes and by the Mürnsee volunteer fire brigade . Before the regional reform in Bavaria , Mürnsee was part of the municipality of Schönrain until April 30, 1978 . The 1987 census found 115 residents.

Up until July 2006 there was an artificial moorland swimming pool ("Bad Heilbrunner Freibad") fed with moor water near the Reindlschmiede inn , referred to by insiders as "Mürnseer Bad". It was closed due to the occurrence of blue-green algae and converted into a pond in autumn 2007, as a renovation was rejected by the local council due to excessive costs.

The traditional costume association "Reindlbachtaler", which was founded in 1932 and is affiliated with the Loisachgau, had 65 members in 2006.
