Hohenbirken is a district of the municipality of Bad Heilbrunn in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen . The village is about four kilometers northwest of Bad Heilbrunn and can be reached via State Road 2370 .

On May 1, 1978, the independent municipality of Schönrain was dissolved from the Bad Tölz district . Some districts were incorporated into Königsdorf , others such as Hohenbirken came to Bad Heilbrunn.
