Louis Graf von Roedern (born December 4, 1795 in Pohlwitz , † December 18, 1857 in Berlin ) was a Prussian major general and commander of the 10th Infantry Brigade .

Life

Louis was a son of the heir of Ostrawe and Pohlwitz , Albrecht Ludwig von Roedern (1755-1814), and his wife Helene Charlotte, née von Kleist (1765-1802).

Military career

Roedern, together with his father and three brothers, made himself available to the Prussian king in Breslau at the beginning of the wars of liberation . Roedern then joined the hunter detachment of the Guard Regiment of the Prussian Army as a volunteer hunter on February 20, 1813 and was promoted to second lieutenant until mid-May 1813 .
