action

The hit man Blake Hammon wants to be the best hit man, so he resolves to kill Gunther, the best hit man to date. To document this, Blake hires a documentary film team to accompany him and film everything.

In order to kill Gunther, Blake gathers a team of seven other hit men around him. At a first meeting of the killer squad, an informant is killed by Gunther with a sniper rifle before he can reveal Gunther's whereabouts. In order to find Gunter, Blake initiates a fictitious contract killing of an international arms dealer. The team flies to Miami, purchases weapons from an illegal arms dealer and then monitors the bogus target. After twelve days, Gunther actually shows up and kills the arms dealer. During the subsequent chase and fight in the office building, Gunther is allegedly shot by Sanaa. However, Gunther escapes and kills Izzat in a fight.

The team flees from the crime scene and, when evaluating the footage, discovers that Sanaa shot a man who looks like Blake. With the help of telephone data monitoring, the team learned from an informant that a gunshot wound in the thigh was to be treated in a doctor's office the next morning. The team oversees the doctor's office. A car bomb placed by Donnie, however, does not go off when the target leaves the doctor's office. Instead, there are numerous explosions from nearby cars. While checking a trunk, Yong is bitten by a snake from the trunk and dies. The remaining hired killers shoot a fleeing car and blow it up. The team is sure to have killed Gunther with it and celebrate extensively in a bar.

The next night the team found Mia and Barald murdered in their hotel room. Blake becomes aware that Gunther is still alive, he breaks off the mission and flies back to New York. There his apartment is currently being searched by investigators. Gabe finds out that Gunther betrayed Blake to the FBI. Blake goes into hiding with Gabe for the time being.

Meanwhile, it is known that Blake's ex-girlfriend Lisa left him to be with Gunther. Blake now also suspects that this is why he went on the hunt for Gunther. At the funeral of Blake's mentor Ashley, Gunter blows up the grave and Gabe is killed by the headstone. Blake's ex-girlfriend Lisa shows up at Blake's and gives Blake the address of Gunther. Blake breaks into Gunther's house at night to kill him. During the subsequent shooting, Sanaa and Donnie suddenly appear to support Blake. During a break in the fire, Gunther reveals his face for the first time and tells the others that he knew about the hunt for him right from the start, that he monitored the others and smuggled himself into them camouflaged. Gunther also shot his own documentary with his own film team. Gunther gives the hit men the choice to leave now or they will be killed by Gunther. Sanaa and Donnie then leave Gunther's house. After a fight between Gunther and Blake, Gunther escapes before the police arrive.

A year later it is revealed that Sanaa and Donnie are now married and have a daughter. Gunther gives an interview in the garden of his house in Austria and says that he has retired. Suddenly Gunther is shot from behind by Blake. However, Blake discovers that Gunther was wearing a bomb belt, the bomb detonates and kills Blake. In an official press conference, the police confirmed that a film camera was found at the crime scene, the content was not disclosed. The explosion is classified as a fight between members of organized crime . A disguised Gunther sits in the audience.
