Allison Tolman (2014)

Allison Cara Tolman (born November 18, 1981 in Houston ) is an American actress . She gained notoriety with the lead role in the first season of the television series Fargo .

life and career

Tolman began taking acting classes at the Ford Bend Theater in Sugar Land , Texas at the age of eight . She studied Theatrical Performance at Baylor University in Waco . After graduating in 2004, Tolman moved to Dallas , where she joined the Second Thought Theater company. In 2006, Tolman took on her first television role as a nurse in the second season of Prison Break , followed by a supporting role in Sordid Lives: The Series in 2008 and the short film A Thousand Cocktails Later in 2009 .

In 2014, Tolman starred as police officer Molly Solverson in the FX series Fargo . For this role she won the 2014 Critics' Choice Television Award and was nominated for an Emmy . This was followed by guest appearances in various series, including The Mindy Project , Hello Ladies and Archer .

Tolman lives in Chicago .
