The Critics' Choice Television Award in the category Best Supporting Actress in a Television Movie or Miniseries (Original name: Best Supporting Actress in a Movie / Miniseries ) is one of the awards , held annually in the United States by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association , an association of Television critics, are awarded. It is aimed at actresses who have performed outstandingly in a supporting role in a television movie or mini-series . The category was launched in 2013. The winners will be determined in a secret vote by the association's television critics.

History and records

Since the third award, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association has awarded a total of six awards in the Best Supporting Actress category in a television film or mini-series to five different actresses. The first winner was Sarah Paulson , who was honored in 2013 for her role as Lana Winters in American Horror Story . The last winner so far was Laura Dern , who was honored in 2018 for her role as Renata Klein in Big Little Lies .
