Khandi Alexander
Khandi Alexander (born September 4, 1957 in New York City , New York ) is an American dancer , choreographer and actress .
Life
Alexander was in September 1957 in New York City in the US state of New York born. She graduated from Queensborough Community College . She danced on Broadway in Dancin by Bob Fosse , in Alvin Ailey's studio, and in Dreamgirls by director Michael Bennett. In 1985 she was seen as a dancer in the film A Chorus Line with Michael Douglas . She was responsible for choreographing Whitney Houston's tours from 1989 to 1992.
She then focused on acting and appeared on the sitcom NewsRadio , which ran in the US from 1995 to 1999. She was also seen from 1995 to 2001 at irregular intervals in the television series Emergency Room . In 1998, she played the pregnant agent Terry in an episode of the second season of the agent series Nikita with Peta Wilson .
She played one of the first episodes of CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators in 2002 as well as in the first episode of CSI: NY in 2004 . From 2002 to 2008 she was in CSI: Miami as coroner Dr. See Alexx Woods . She also made a brief appearance in Mad About Mary .
