Critics' Choice Television Award / Best Comedy Series

The Critics' Choice Television Award in the category Best Comedy Series (Original name: Best Comedy Series ) is one of the awards , held annually in the United States by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association , a federation awarded by television critics. It is aimed at excellent television series from the comedy genre . The category was launched in 2011. The winners will be determined in a secret vote by the association's television critics.

History and records

Since it was first awarded, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association has awarded a total of eight awards in the Best Comedy Series category to seven different series. The first winner was ABC's Modern Family , which was honored in 2011 . The last winner so far was the British series Fleabag , which was honored in 2020 . The number of nominations was ten series at the first award, and only six or seven for the subsequent ones.
