Critics' Choice Television Award / Best Drama Series

The Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Drama Series (Original Name: Best Drama Series ) is one of the awards given annually in the United States by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association , an association of television critics. It is aimed at excellent television series from the drama genre . The category was launched in 2011. The winners will be determined in a secret vote by the association's television critics.

History and records

Since it was first awarded, the Broadcast Television Journalists Association has awarded a total of nine awards in the Best Drama Series category to seven different series. The first to win was AMC's Mad Men , which was honored in 2011 . The last winner so far was Hulus The Handmaid's Tale - The Maid's Report , which was honored in 2018 . The number of nominations was ten series at the first award, and only six or seven for the subsequent ones.
