Kim Dae-eui (born May 30, 1974 in Hwaseong , Gyeonggi-do ) is a former South Korean football player and today's coach . He last played as a player for Home United . He is currently under contract as a coach at Suwon FC .

Career as a player

education

He was trained at Korea University , which he attended from 1993 to 1996. He then joined the semi-professional club Hanil Bank FC .

Club career

After studying at Korea University, he joined the semi-professional club Hanil Bank FC. He stayed there until the end of 1997. In early 1998, he signed a contract with the then Japanese first division club JEF United Ichihara . He came there in the entire season on a total of four missions. After the end of the season he had to leave the club. In 1999 he joined the semi-professional club Ulsan Hyundai Mipo Dolphin FC . A year later, Seong Ilhwa Chunma FC offered him a contract, which he accepted. With Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma FC he won the South Korean Championship in 2001 , 2002 and 2003 . He also won the Adidas Cup in 2002 and the Supercup in the same year. For Seongnam he appeared 92 times and scored 17 goals. In 2004 he moved to Seongnam's arch rival, Suwon Samsung Bluewings . With Suwon he won the championship again in 2004 and 2008 . He also won the Korean FA Cup in 2009 , the Samsung Hauzen Cup in 2005 and 2008 . In 2005 he was also able to win the Supercup and the A3 Champions Cup . In 2009 he was still able to win the Pan Pacific Championship Cup with Suwon . For Suwon he ran a total of 140 times and scored 15 goals. In 2011 he left the club and moved again. This time he went to Home United in the Singapore Football League . For Home United he appeared 14 times and scored one goal. At the end of 2011, at the age of 32, he ended his playing career.

National team career

Dae-eui was appointed to the South Korean national team from 1997 to 2004 , for which he played 13 times and scored three goals.

Career as a coach

After retiring, he stayed at Home United and became an assistant coach. At the beginning of 2013, his former club Suwon Samsung Bluewings made him an offer, which he accepted and returned to South Korea. In 2013 he was then introduced as a scout in the club. From mid-2013, he then took over the post of U-18 coach. Until the end of 2015, however, he could not record any success with the U-18 team, so he worked as a scout for the club again in 2016. At the beginning of 2017 he left the club and went to Korea University in the U-League , where he became an assistant coach. In October of the same year he received a contract offer as a coach at Suwon FC , which he accepted and was introduced as a coach there shortly afterwards on October 12th. With Suwon FC, he finished 6th at the end of the 2017 season. In the following year, he could not play with his team for promotion. He finished the season in 7th place. In the cup, he made it to the 4th main round . After he and his team were able to beat Jungwon University 3-0 in the third main round , however, he failed in the following round to Ulsan Hyundai just 0-1.
