Kim Kyong-il (born December 11, 1988 ) is a North Korean soccer player .
Career
Kim appears internationally as a player for Rimyongsu SG .
Kim took part with the North Korean U-17 selection at the U-17 World Cup in Peru in 2005 and scored two goals in the course of the tournament, including the 1: 1 equalization in the quarter-final defeat against Brazil. In the technical report of the tournament, the defensive player is certified as having an " offensive urge " and " dangerous long-range shots ". The following year Kim won the U-19 Asian Cup with the U-20 selection and took part in the 2007 U-20 World Cup in Canada due to this success . There he formed the central midfield together with Ri Chol-myong , but after a draw against Panama and the eventual finalists Czech Republic as well as a 0-1 defeat against eventual world champions Argentina they failed in the preliminary round. With the Olympic selection (U-23), he missed participation in the 2008 Olympic Games in the final qualifying round against Australia, Iraq and Lebanon .
In October 2007 Kim played in the first round of the World Cup qualification against Mongolia for the first time for the North Korean national team . In 2008 he took part in the AFC Challenge Cup with a North Korean B selection as a regular player , but failed with the team in the semi-finals in Tajikistan. In the 2nd round of the 2010 East Asian Championship , he was part of the squad as a supplementary player and was used.
At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , Kim was part of the North Korean squad , but was not used in the preliminary round.
