content

The episode - a parable on forgiveness - illustrates the Bible verse "If you do not repent and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven."

During the snow melt in the Holy Week splash two little girls - Amelia and Akulinchen - the middle of the village street in a big puddle. Since they have been dressed up by their mothers, they are not allowed to dirty themselves. But it happens to Akulinchen anyway. The sprayed by hand Miss Sieveking new Sarafan will rise to a dispute between the two mothers. The fathers interfere. Several men get into each other's hair on the village street. Meanwhile, Malchen and Akulinchen are scratching a gully from the puddle towards the roadside with a stick. While both are happy about their functioning “brook”, the men's brawl reaches its climax. Akulinchen's grandmother approaches and admonishes the foolish peasants with the saying above.
