The village of Kirch Mulsow is located in a ground moraine area between Wismar and Bad Doberan , about 13 km southeast of Salzhaff . The terrain reaches a height of 110 m above sea level in the Passberg on the border of the district of Northwest Mecklenburg . NN .

The simple village church , which gives it its name , is a Gothic field and brick building with a wooden tower.

Kirch Mulsow includes Clausdorf, Garvensdorf and Steinhagen.

history

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent municipality of Steinhagen was incorporated into Kirch Mulsow. Effective May 26, 2019, Kirch Mulsow was incorporated into the northeast neighboring municipality of Carinerland. The last mayor was Thomas Jenjahn.

Culture and sights

The former Garvensdorf manor house is a cultural center with a small cinema, music and educational events. It is an active member and representation in the association of cultural cinemas, Filmkommunikation Landesverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . It is known nationwide as a place of education and practical research center for earth building techniques . A film festival and a clay festival are held annually.

Sports

The men's team of the soccer club Mulsower SV currently plays in the national class season III.
