The Kirchberg ( 971.6 m above sea level ) in the Tuttlingen district is an elevation on the plateau of the southwestern Swabian Alb . It is centrally located in the district of Bubsheim west of the village and belongs to the Großer Heuberg .
The Kirchberg could have been a previous location of the village of Bubsheim.
Today there is the community's war memorial on the mountain , two football fields of the Bubsheim sports club with an associated sports center and, since 1981, a fenced-in small playing field. In addition, a cell phone tower was built on the southeast side of the mountain.
The Swabian Alb Association has a barbecue area on the Kirchberg, and there is also a designated vantage point at TP 971 with an impressive view of the Alps.
A large part of the Kirchberg is still used as a sheep pasture.
