Reinberg Church

The church Reinberg is a church building in the district of Reinberg in the municipality Wolde in the district of Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . It belongs to the parish of Altenhagen of the Demmin provost in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany .

history

The earliest known mention of a church in Reinberg is from 1560. This had a church tower . After several repairs in the 18th and 19th centuries, it finally had to be demolished because of its poor state of construction.

The current church was built in 1873 instead of the previous building and consecrated on March 5, 1874 by the general superintendent Albert Sigismund Jaspis .

architecture

The brick in the neo-Gothic forms has two raised gable with indicated Maßwerkbekrönung and ogival aperture and a low three-sided Ostschluss. The west portal is highlighted by a wall template with an eyelash gable. It doesn't have a tower .

The choir apse spans a six-part ribbed vault . Neo-Gothic tendril paintings decorate the reveals of the triumphal arch and the windows of the nave.

Interior

The hall church has a flat wooden ceiling. The neo-Gothic simple furnishings date from the construction period around 1874. A brick altar table is located in the apse. In front of it is a simple octagonal baptism. The wooden pulpit with staircase and crate stands on an octagonal base. There is no sound cover .

The organ on the west gallery comes from Wilhelm Sauer's workshop from around 1889, as opus number 510 indicates. In terms of size and color, it does not match the gallery and was therefore probably originally in a different church.

The bell was cast in 1873 by Carl Voss and Son in Stettin . It was originally located in a bell house on the west gable. When cracks appeared on this, the bell was housed in a free-standing wooden belfry northeast of the church.
