Building description

View from the northwest

The structure was essentially made of half-timbering , with the compartment being made with bricks and then plastered . The choir is straight and has a three-sided east end. In each of the three fields there is a simple, high rectangular window.

This is followed by the nave . It has a rectangular floor plan and a two-story extension on the north side of the nave . This can be entered from the north through a wooden gate and is also the only access to the building. Above is a simple window, as well as two further windows on the west and east sides. The gable is boarded up; the extension, like the ship, has a simple gable roof . To the west is another window on the nave; three tall rectangular windows on the south side.

The west wall has no windows and is also made of compartments. It jumps out a few centimeters in the central area and merges into the square church tower in the gable roof . There is a rectangular sound arcade on the north and south sides . An octagonal tower helmet rises from the top, which merges into a curved hood and another helmet, which in turn ends with a tower ball , weather vane and star.

Furnishing

The baroque pulpit altar and the mansion's box have been preserved from the construction period . In the vestibule of the north extension, a total of four memorial plaques commemorate the fallen from the First World War . The parish has set up a winter church on the upper floor . It can be entered via the patronage gallery on the north side. Its parapet is decorated with the alliance coat of arms of those von Rieben . The organ was built by the organ builder Wilhelm Sauer in 1840. However, the instrument cannot be played in 2019.

The structure has a flat wooden barrel ceiling with a cove . In the church cemetery there is a grave for four unknown soldiers from the Second World War .
