The Schmarsow Church is a Gothic church building in the Schmarsow district of the Kruckow community .

The towerless brick building was erected around 1400. The nave is designed like a hall. The recessed 5/10 choir has a ribbed vault on corner services inside and buttresses outside. The nave has a ribbed vault , which rests on inwardly drawn pillars.

The western gable is structured with slender, ogival tracery panels.

Facilities include a dated to the year 1597 cup and made of sandstone -built Epitaph for Ernst Ludwig von Malzahn (born May 6, 1571 † 1625) from the year 1625th

The organ was built in 1886 in the workshop of FW Fischer in Demmin .

The Protestant parish of Kartlow-Völschow has been part of the Demmin Propstei in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany since 2012 . Before that she belonged to the Demmin parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church .
