The Kirchenheider Bach rises in Hohen Fläming in the village of Dretzen in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district . It drains north into the Geuenbach , a tributary of the Buckau .
course
The Kirchenheider Bach, which rises on the northern slope of the Hohen Fläming, initially flows in a north-easterly direction. North of the Wittstock colony residential area belonging to the municipality of Buckautal , the flowing water swings sharply to the northwest. There are two weirs in the course of the stream . Shortly before the confluence with the Geuenbach, a pond was dammed. After about 4.6 kilometers the Kirchenheider Bach flows into it. Its catchment area is about 10.44 square kilometers.
Protected areas
The Kirchenheider Bach is located in several protected areas. It is located in the Hoher Fläming Nature Park and in the FFH area Buckau and tributaries. Individual sections of the stream are designated as protected biotopes . The small pond on the Geuen is a natural monument .
