Kishan Hirani (born June 2, 1992 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh snooker player . By winning his group in Q School in 2018 , he was for the Main Tour -Saisons 2018/19 and 2019/20 professional players.
Career
Hirani has often participated in PTC tournaments since 2010, but he never celebrated greater success. After losing in qualification in 2016 , he survived qualification at the Paul Hunter Classic 2017 , but lost to Chris Wakelin in the first main round . In 2016 he won a qualifying tournament for the Snookerbacker Classic amateur tournament ; In 2018 he defeated Daniel Norris in the final of the Jack Carney Memorial Trophy . In addition, Hirani had participated in various events of the Pontin's International Open Series , the EBSA Amateur Play Offs and the Q School over the years and had reached higher rounds a few times, but always narrowly missed the qualification for the Snooker Main Tour . At the third Q-School tournament in 2018 , however, he reached the play-off and defeated Simon Bedford 4-2, so that he could then become a professional player for two years.
However, Hirani's first professional season was marked by early defeats. He was only able to win a game in four tournaments, but in these cases he lost in the subsequent round. Thus, at the end of the season he was only ranked 118th in the world rankings. However, the 2019/20 season went a little better and Hirani was able to win a total of six games, so that he reached the round of 32 of the German Masters . Nevertheless, his world ranking position at the end of the season was not enough for a qualification for the next season, so that Hirani lost his professional status. He then missed immediate re-qualification at the Q School due to three early defeats.
