The Kitschera ( Russian Кичера ) is a tributary of Lake Baikal in the Russian Republic of Buryatia .

The Kitschera rises in the Upper Angaragebirge ( Верхнеангарский хребет ) north of Lake Baikal. It flows through several lakes in a south-westerly direction, including the 277 km² Kulinda Lake ( Озеро Кулинда ). At the Kitschera settlement it reaches a large lagoon at the northern end of Lake Baikal, into which the Upper Angara also flows a few kilometers to the east. The Jarki spit separates the estuary delta from the lake.

The Kitschera has a length of 126 km and drains an area of 2430 km². Shortly before reaching the lagoon, a larger tributary of the Upper Angara, the Angarakan , meets the Kitschera from the left. The most important tributary, the Cholodnaja ( Холодная ), flows into the Kitschera from the right in front of the lagoon.
