The kkStB 397 was a tank locomotive series of the kk state railways of Austria , whose locomotives originally came from the Bozen-Meraner Bahn (BMB) and the Bohemian Commercial Railways (BCB).

The BMB (one piece) and the BCB (six pieces) procured these three-coupled tank locomotives in 1881 and 1882 . They had internal frames and external controls.

The BMB machine came in 1906 by nationalizing the kkStB, the BCB locomotives until 1909 / 10 . They were classified as series  397 .

After the First World War , the remaining four machines were awarded to ČSD , which they designated as the 310.2 series and which they  retired by 1930 .
