The 1957/58 season was the eighth season of the Class B as the second highest Soviet ice hockey league . The LIISchT Leningrad team , which also rose to Class A , became champions of Class B.

mode

The class B were initially divided into four groups of seven teams each, which competed in a return match against every opponent within their group. There was also a group of the Union Republics with five teams that played once against each opponent in their group. The two best-placed teams in each of the four groups as well as the first place in the group of Union Republics qualified for the final tournament, the first place of which rose to Class A. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
