Klaudia Ruschkowski (born December 20, 1959 in Dortmund ) is a German dramaturge , author , translator and curator . She lives in Berlin and in Volterra (Tuscany).

Life

Klaudia Ruschkowski studied German language , art and philosophy at the University of Dortmund and in Madrid . Between 1985 and 1991 she worked as a dramaturge at various West and East German theaters, a. a. at the WLT , the German National Theater Weimar , the Bochumer Schauspielhaus and the Schauspielhaus Erfurt .

Together with the cultural scientist Jürgen Fischer , she founded the European Cultural Center in Thuringia in Erfurt in 1991 and ran it as co-director until 1997. At the same time, she worked for radio and was co-editor of the Via Regia series of publications - sheets for international communication , of which a total of 71 issues were published between 1992 and 2001.

From 1992 to 1997 she headed the International District of Thuringia of the Carl Duisberg Society . In 1997 she designed the cultural program for the “10. World Congress of Medieval Philosophy ”in Erfurt and had a teaching position at the Liszt School of Music Weimar in 1997/98 .

Between 1999 and 2010 she developed international and interdisciplinary workshops on pieces by Heiner Müller for the International Heiner Müller Society Berlin. In 2000/2001 she headed the Italian part of the EU project Connect: A new World of Music for Students . In 2001 she and Wolfgang Storch founded the “Raum für die Künste” ( spazio per le arti ) Villa Le Guadalupe in Volterra, Tuscany , a forum for artistic productions, workshops and seminars.

Klaudia Ruschkowski works as a radio play author, writes essays and translates prose and poetry from Italian and English. She has been working with the poet and painter Etel Adnan since the late 1990s .

She is married to the dramaturge, author and curator Wolfgang Storch. Both have a son, the photographer Antonio Maria Storch.
