Klaus DeParade (born June 9, 1938 in Hildesheim ; † September 7, 2012 in Chioggia , Italy ) was a German energy manager , management consultant and student functionary . From 2010 to 2011 he was chairman of the Weinheimer Verband Alter Corpsstudenten .

Life

education

Klaus DeParade visited schools in Trier , Klein Wanzleben and Braunschweig, among others . In 1950 he went to Argentina , where he lived in different cities and graduated from high school in Buenos Aires in 1956 .

He then studied electrical engineering with a focus on high voltage technology and energy technology at the Technical University of Braunschweig and the Technical University of Hanover .

In 1958 DeParade joined the Corps Teutonia-Hercynia Braunschweig in the Weinheim Seniors Convent (WSC). In the summer semester of 1961 he was elected deputy AStA chairman at the Technical University of Braunschweig , and in the following winter semester 1961/62 he was elected AStA chairman. In 1962 he joined the Corps Alemannia-Thuringia in Hanover , which is now based in Magdeburg .

He completed his studies with a degree in engineering . On August 26, 1994, after 27 military exercises, he was appointed Colonel by Defense Minister Rühe.

He took on his first professional position in 1963 at the German Association of Energy Customers (VEA), Hanover, where he became deputy managing director in 1965 and sole managing director from 1969.

At the Technical University of Braunschweig he received his doctorate in 1974 on the subject of network and connection costs as a Dr.-Ing. In 1978 he founded the Institute for Energy Saving and became its first managing director. At Hastra AG, Hanover, he was appointed authorized signatory and head of the energy industry department in 1979 , and later also managing director of the VDEW state group Lower Saxony / Bremen.

The next professional step took him to the new federal states after reunification. In 1991 he became a board member at Ostthüringer Energie -versorgung AG (OTEV), where he was responsible for energy management, technology, generation / power plants, and at Energie-Werke Ostthüringen AG (EWO) in Jena. After the consolidation of the companies, he joined the management board of TEAG Thüringer Energie AG, Erfurt, in 1994. In the same year he took over the chairmanship of the VDEW regional group Thuringia. Back in Lower Saxony, he became a member of the Executive Board of Hastra AG, Hanover, in 1995 and was responsible for the energy and technology departments. In 1999 he became a board member and in 2001 chairman of the board of Avacon AG , Helmstedt .

As early as 1991, Klaus DeParade had taken on various positions on supervisory boards, including chairmanship, in several energy and gas supply companies in Thuringia, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. On May 12, 2003 Klaus DeParade was awarded the Cross of Merit on Ribbon of the Lower Saxony Order of Merit. In 2003 he founded DeParade Consulting GmbH based in Hanover, of which he was managing director until his death.

Klaus DeParade died on September 7, 2012 during a stay in Italy.

Activity in academic associations

Klaus DeParade was elected in 2008 at the Weinheim Conference, the annual meeting of the Weinheim Senior Citizens' Convention, to the Advisory Board of the Weinheim Association of Old Corps Students (WVAC) and became the Association's first secretary with effect from January 1, 2009.

In the following year the association elected him as chairman of the board of the WVAC with effect from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011. In this function he succeeded Frieder Löhrer . His successor was Marcel Hattendorf on January 1, 2012 .

Until his death, Klaus DeParade was on the advisory board of the WVAC board.
