Klaus Dornisch

Klaus Dornisch (* 1942 in Bamberg ) is a German classical archaeologist .

Klaus Dornisch first studied theater studies and German studies in Erlangen , then classical archeology at the University of Würzburg , the University of Thessaloniki and the University of Bochum . He took part in several excavations in Turkey . He was born in 1982 at the University of Erlangen with a thesis on The Greek Arched Gates. Doctorate on the origin and distribution of the Greek vaulted vault . In 1974/75 he gave a course at the Nuremberg Education Center , from which a 30-year commitment developed. In 1983, Dornisch became head of the history and archeology department at the Nuremberg Education Center, the Nuremberg Adult Education Center . In 1984/85 the first volume of the Nürnberger Blätter on archeology appeared , edited by Dornisch and whose contributions were based on the events in the educational center. He also taught at the university. He has been a corresponding member of the German Archaeological Institute since 1993 and a member of the Pegnese Flower Order since 1997 .
