Klaus Hallof

Klaus Hallof (born January 29, 1957 in Dresden ) is a German epigraphist .

Klaus Hallof received his doctorate in 1988 with the thesis Values ​​for Land and Buildings in Attika in the 5th – 3rd centuries. Century after the inscriptions at the Academy of Sciences of the GDR , where he has worked at the Inscriptiones Graecae since 1983 . Since 1993 he has been head of the Inscriptiones Graecae office at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences . Hallof is also an adjunct professor of epigraphy at the Humboldt University in Berlin and a member of the German Archaeological Institute .

He deals not only with ancient epigraphy , but also with the inscriptions of Thuringia , especially Jenas .
