history

The place was first mentioned in 1265 in a deed of the Heilsbronn monastery under the name "Nuwehovelin" with the meaning of the new courtyard . From the place name it can be deduced that it was a late settlement. In addition to the farm bought in 1265, the monastery was given a slope by a Nuremberg citizen named Ringer in 1266 . In 1344 the abbot Gamsfelder from Heilsbronn acquired a tenth there. The monastery acquired a total of seven farms.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Monastery Office from 1608, seven teams are listed for Neuhöflein (six farmers, one Köbler ). They all had the Bonnhof caste office as landlord . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . In the Thirty Years' War six farms were burned.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were eight properties in Neuhöflein (5 farms, 1 estate, forge, shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Brandenburg-Ansbach judges office in Roßtal . The Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Bonnhof held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties. At that time there were 7 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Cadolzburg .

As part of the community edict, Neuhöflein was assigned to the Petersaurach tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Petersaurach founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818) Neuhöflein was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Höfstetten .

Between 1953 and 1960, Neuhöflein was the third village in the Ansbach district to carry out land consolidation . On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Höfstetten with Neuhöflein was incorporated into Heilsbronn as part of the regional reform .
