Bonnhof (colloquially: Bahūf ) is a district of the city of Heilsbronn in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies in a valley in which the Böllingsdorfer Bach rises, which then joins other brooks to form a right tributary of the Bibert , which is finally called Weihersmühlbach. Immediately to the north is the vineyard ( 408  m above sea level ), about 0.75 km to the west is the Lämmerberg . The forest area Birkenlohe joins in the southwest .

The state road 2410 leads to Heilsbronn to a junction of the B 14 (2 km south) or to Böllingsdorf - Bürglein (2 km north). The district road AN 24 connects the place with Betzendorf (2.5 km northwest) and a municipal road with Gottmannsdorf (2.7 km east).

history

In 1142 the place was first mentioned in a document as "Bonendorf". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Bono, which is to be assumed as the founder of the place. At that time the place was already owned by the Heilsbronn monastery . In 1144 the place is called “Curia fabae” - Latin for bean farm - the personal name is obviously no longer common at this time and is misinterpreted as a bean . From 1469 the form "Bonhoff" is documented. The change in the basic word is related to the amalgamation of all goods into a single courtyard, as was customary in Cistercian monasteries (see Grangie ).

For centuries there was a castle in Bonnhof ( Burgstall Bonnhof ), which was the seat of a provost of the Heilsbronn monastery. With goods in 76 locations, the provost's office was the largest and most important of the five priests of the monastery. In addition, there were 100 acres of vineyards there, making it the largest wine-growing area in Middle Franconia. After the monastery period, the castle often changed hands, today only the bell of the castle chapel remains.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn monastery office from 1608, only the 15 teams are listed for Bonnhof who had the Bonnhof caste office as landlord (6 farmers, 9 Köbler ). The teams of other landlords are not listed. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years' War , five of the 15 Heilsbronn properties were burned down, while ten properties remained inhabited throughout the war.

At the end of the 18th century there were 22 properties in Bonnhof. The high court exercised the municipal bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent over the Brandenburg-Bayreuth subjects , and the judge’s office in Roßtal over the Brandenburg-Ansbach subjects . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Bonnhof. The landlords were the Kastenamt Bonnhof (20 properties: 1 castle, 3 courtyards, 3 half-courtyards, 2 taverns, 6 estates, 1 forge, 4 houses, community school), the Brandenburg-Ansbachian Kastenamt Cadolzburg (1 game master's apartment) and the Nuremberg owner von Tucher ( 1 good). From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Cadolzburg . There were 18 subject families at that time.

In 1806 Bonnhof came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, Bonnhof was assigned to the Bürglein tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Bürglein, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Bonnhof and Gottmannsdorf broke away from Bürglein and formed a rural community. It was subject to the Heilsbronn Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Windsbach Rent Office in the financial administration . From 1862 to 1879 Bonnhof was administered by the Heilsbronn district office, since 1880 by the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ) and the Heilsbronn rent office (1920–1929: Heilsbronn tax office , from 1929: Ansbach tax office ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Heilsbronn until 1879, 1880–1956 district court Heilsbronn , since 1956 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 8.105 km².

After the Second World War , many Sudeten German settlers settled in the southern part of the village, which led to the village being divided into an old, rural part and a settlement part. On January 1, 1972, Bonnhof was incorporated into Heilsbronn as part of the municipal reform.

At the end of the 1990s, a larger building area was designated to the south. As a result, the number of inhabitants has increased significantly.
