Betzendorf (colloquially: Betsndorf ) is a district of the city of Heilsbronn in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on a high plateau that slopes down on all sides except in the direction of Höfstetten . A nameless stream rises in the place, a right tributary of the Triebenbdorfer trench, which is a right tributary of the Bibert . Immediately to the southeast is the Fleck corridor area. Approx. The forest areas Lindach 'and Wolfsgrube begin 0.5 km to the northeast.

The district road AN 24 runs through the village , which leads to Bonnhof on state road 2410 (2.6 km southeast) or at Münchzell on state road 2246 (1.8 km north). Municipal roads lead to Markttriebendorf (1.2 km to the west) and to Bürglein to state road 2410 (2 km to the east).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1249 as "Bazindorf". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Bazo. In 1306 the Heilsbronn monastery acquired a farm from the Nuremberg citizen Burkhard von Betzendorf . In the period that followed, the monastery acquired eight more properties.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Monastery Office from 1608, nine teams are listed for Betzendorf: The seven farmers and two Köbler had the Bonnhof caste office as landlord . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . In the Thirty Years' War , most farms in Betzdorf were devastated. Of the nine Heilsbronn courtyards, seven were deserted in 1650 and five in 1655. According to other information, the place was completely deserted in 1650. Four properties were sold in 1665, the other courtyards remained uninhabited for the next few years.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 13 properties in Betzendorf (4 courtyards, 2 half courtyards, 3 estates, 3 houses, 1 blacksmith's shop, 1 shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Brandenburg-Ansbach judges office in Roßtal . The Bonnhof caste office in Brandenburg-Bayreuth was in charge of village and community rulership and the rulership of all properties. There were eleven subject families at that time. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Cadolzburg .

In 1806 Betzendorf came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict, Betzendorf was assigned to the Bürglein tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Bürglein, founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Betzendorf broke away from Bürglein and formed a rural community with Markttriebendorf , which until then had belonged to the rural community of Petersaurach . It was subject to the Heilsbronn Regional Court in administration and jurisdiction and the Windsbach Rent Office in the financial administration . From 1862 to 1879 Betzendorf was subordinate to the Heilsbronn district office , from 1880 to the Ansbach district office (renamed the Ansbach district in 1938 ) and the Heilsbronn rent office (1920–1929 Heilsbronn tax office, Ansbach tax office from 1929 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Heilsbronn until 1879, 1880–1956 district court Heilsbronn , since 1956 district court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 4.637 km².

In 1929 Betzendorf received its own schoolhouse, in which the students were taught until 1976. In 1949 and 1950 it was the first village in the Ansbach district to carry out the land consolidation . 411 individual plots were merged into 104 plots. On January 1, 1972, as part of the regional reform, the municipality of Betzendorf was incorporated into the city of Heilsbronn together with its district of Markttriebendorf.
