history

According to older chronicles, "Beldingestorf" was first mentioned in a document in the 12th century. The oldest surviving document, in which the place is called "Bellingesdorf", dates from the year 1268. The defining word of the place name is the personal name Bedling, which is to be assumed as the founder of the place. The Heilsbronn Monastery gradually acquired the entire place from 1268 onwards.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Monastery Office from 1608, there is no separate entry for Böllingsdorf because it formed a community with Bürglein . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach .

At the end of the 18th century there were 9 properties in Böllingsdorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Brandenburg-Ansbach judges office in Roßtal . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Bonnhof . The landlords were the Kastenamt Bonnhof (7 estates, 1 house) and the Bürglein Foundation (1 estate). At that time there were 8 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Cadolzburg .

As part of the community edict, Böllingsdorf was assigned to the Bürglein tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Bürglein, founded in 1810 . This was incorporated into the city of Heilsbronn on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
