history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1306. The late Romanesque St. Matthew's Church also dates from this period, which was originally a branch of St. Maria (Großhaslach) and, since 1818, of St. Johannes (Bürglein) .

In the years 1440 and 1442, Heilsbronn Monastery bought goods, Gülten and a mill from the Nuremberg citizen Peter Haller . The monastery acquired further goods through the donation of a local tailor. In a record from 1569 it is reported that markets were held three times a year in Triebendorf. It is not possible to say exactly when it received this market right . However, it was later curtailed to holding only one market for the parish fair because the place, at that time with only three courtyards, was considered too small. The other two fairs were moved to Weißenbronn and Bonnhof .

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn monastery office from 1608, seven teams are listed for Markttriebendorf, all of which had the Bonnhof caste office as landlord (two farmers, five Köbler ). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years' War the mill burned down, the church was damaged and all the courtyards were deserted. New owners were only found after 1665.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were ten properties in Markttriebendorf (1 courtyard, 1 half-courtyard, 5 estates, 1 mill, community shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city bailiff's office in Markt Erlbach to a limited extent. If necessary, it had to be delivered to the Brandenburg-Ansbach judges office in Roßtal . The Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Bonnhof held the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Cadolzburg . There were eight subject families at that time.

As part of the municipal edict, Markttriebendorf was assigned to the Petersaurach tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Petersaurach founded in 1810 . With the second community edict (1818), Markttriebendorf was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Betzendorf . This was incorporated into Heilsbronn on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
