Klaus Jöken (* 1958 in Kleve ) is a German translator of Franco-Belgian comics .

Klaus Jöken studied history and Dutch in Cologne . In 1988 he moved to Moulins , France because of love . As an autodidact, he began his work as a translator, mostly of Franco-Belgian comics. Including Buck Danny , Isnogud , Durango , Pitt Pistol , Luc Junior , Bizu, Die Pauker, Britta and Colin, January Jones , The Vagabonds of Infinity , The Star Walkers and Dan Cooper . He has been translating Lucky Luke and Rantanplan since 1995 and Asterix since 2004 . Because of the numerous word games and allusions, he needed two months for an Asterix translation.
