A Summer in Hungary is a German TV film by Sophie Allet-Coche from 2014 . The ZDF Sunday film , which starts in the “ Herzkino ” category , is the eleventh episode of the film series Ein Sommer in ... , which takes place in different locations around the world.

Hairdresser Doro works on a cruise ship . She loses her job after getting into an argument with her manager. Ildiko, a cruise guest, unintentionally witnesses her dismissal without notice and offers her a three-week representation in a Hungarian hairdressing salon, where her cousin Réka works, who, however, has broken her leg. Not everyone in the salon welcomes her warmly and Doro even considers leaving. But because of the personable Ildiko and the attractive Tamás as well as the many nice Hungarian villagers, she stays and shows her critics that she has courage and talent.
