Klaus Moegling

Klaus Moegling (born July 18, 1952 ) is a German teacher , political didactic and sports scientist .

Klaus Moegling studied physical education and political science at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen from 1971 to 1976 and completed his teaching degree with the first state examination and a master’s degree in sociology . From 1980 to 2001 he worked as a teacher in Kassel . In 1984 he obtained his doctorate in economics and social sciences at the University of Kassel on the subject of sports teachers as colleagues - institutional framework conditions for social teaching and learning in sports lessons . This was followed in 1998 by a habilitation at the University of Hamburg on the subject of health and exercise in the sports science department.

Since March 1999, Klaus Moegling has been a private lecturer in the sports science department at the University of Hamburg . Since 2003 he has been teaching in the Faculty of Education at the University of Marburg and in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Kassel with a focus on political didactics. In 2005 he was given an adjunct professorship at the University of Marburg, and in 2009 at the University of Kassel. His publication focus in the past ten years has been in the field of school pedagogy and political didactics. Today he works in teacher training at Kassel University and in the study seminar.

Klaus Moegling was active as a handball player in the Oberliga , Regionalliga and Bundesliga until 1977 . Since 1980 he has had the A license of the German Handball Federation . In the 1980s he began to deal with the Chinese martial and meditation art Taijiquan , about which he wrote several publications in the early 1990s.
