Klaus Winterkamp

Klaus Winterkamp (born April 19, 1966 in Münster ) is a German Roman Catholic clergyman and vicar general of the diocese of Münster .

Life

Winterkamp studied theology in Münster and Vienna. He was ordained a priest on June 7, 1992 and worked as a temporary worker in St. Ulrich (Alps) and St. Marien ( Duisburg-Rheinhausen ). From 1992 to 1996 he was chaplain in St. Marien (Ahlen) . He was then released for doctoral studies and was at the same time chaplain in St. Franziskus ( Recklinghausen- Stuckenbusch) and St. Paul (Recklinghausen).

In 2001 he became pastor in Liebfrauen (Bocholt) . In 2007 he was also the parish administrator of St. Helena (Bocholt-Barlo) and Heilig Kreuz (Bocholt) . In 2008 he was appointed dean of the Bocholt dean's office and parish administrator in Herz Jesu (Bocholt). He has been a member of the priests' council since 2009. Since 2010 he has chaired the Caritas Association of the Diocese of Münster. 2011 Bishop named him Felix Genn the vicar in Munster and clergy advisory board of Caritas conferences, clergy advisory board of the Vincenz conferences, pastors of Malteser in the diocese of Muenster, clergy advisory board for the Social Service of Catholic Women (SkF) and the Social Service of Catholic Men ( SKM) in the diocese of Münster. Since July 3, 2013 he has been the cathedral capitular at St. Paulus Cathedral in Münster and since December 1, 2013 Zeromoniar major at St. Paulus Cathedral. Exactly one year later he became diocesan representative for the Catholic Day 2018. On March 31, 2015, he gave up the chairmanship of the Diocesan Caritas Association. Since October 1, 2018, Winterkamp has succeeded Norbert Kösters as vicar general of the diocese of Münster.
