Kleinbirkach is a district of the market Ebrach in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg .

location

The hamlet is located in the Steigerwald in a southern bulge of the Ebrach municipality, just under 6.5 km south of Ebrach. The realm of Ebrach limits the place in the northeast. The Birkenhof property is located about 200 m to the northeast in a forest clearing.

history

The place, which belonged to the disbanded municipality of Großbirkach until the municipal area reform, was incorporated into Ebrach in 1972.

Attractions

The “ old Dreifrankenstein ” from 1892 is located in the nearby forest of the Sandhügel parcel. Before the local reform in 1972, the administrative districts of Upper, Middle and Lower Franconia came together here. The sand column can be reached via hiking trails.
