Small Russian library
The Small Russian Library is a German-language book series with translations of Russian literary works and literary topics in Russian literature .
It was initiated by the publisher Heinrich Ellermann , who published this series between 1961 and 1970 in his publishing house in Hamburg . In 1967 and 1970 only one volume was published and the series was thus discontinued.
Johannes von Guenther headed this project as editor and also acted as translator for some works. The series comprises twenty-nine titles in thirty volumes. Not to be confused with the “Russian Library” from Drei-Masken-Verlag (Munich).
