The small tuber in the southwest part of the Harz is about 631 m above sea level. NHN high southwest foothills of the Großer Knollens near Sieber in the non-parish Harz region of the Göttingen district in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).
Geographical location
The small tuber is located in the southern Harz in the Harz Nature Park . It rises 5.5 km northeast of Herzberg am Harz , 4.7 km northeast of Scharzfeld , 5 km northwest of Bad Lauterberg in the Harz Mountains and 4 km south of the Herzberg district of Sieber . In a north-easterly direction, the Große Knollen ( 687.4 m ) is less than 1 km away . The Bremke tributary of the Oder rises between small and large tubers .
Forest cover
Today the small tuber is overgrown with beech in the lower elevations and with spruce in the higher elevations. In 1596 it was completely overgrown with beeches, in 1630 partly with maple.
