Paks Small Area
The small area Paks ( Hungarian Paksi kistérség ) was a Hungarian administrative unit ( LAU 1) within Tolna County in southern Transdanubia until the end of 2012 . As part of the administrative reform, the Paks district ( Paksi járás in Hungarian ) emerged from all the localities in the small area at the beginning of 2012 , and was expanded to include Tengelic from the Szekszard small area .
At the end of 2012, 47,314 inhabitants lived in an area of 765.07 km². The population density of 62 inhabitants / km² was slightly below that of the county.
The administrative seat was in the largest city Paks (19.481 Ew.). Another city was Dunaföldvár (8,722 inhabitants), the only large community ( Nagydorog ) had 2,591 inhabitants.
