Klemen Cehte (born May 10, 1986 in Brežice , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian handball player .

The right-handed person, who is 1.93 m tall and weighs 94 kg, is mostly used on the left side of the back. Klemen Cehte first played for the Slovenian clubs RK Krško and MRD Dobova, from 2007 for RK Trimo Trebnje . With Trebnje he reached the round of 16 in the 2006/07 EHF Cup and the second round in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 European Cup Winners' Cup . In 2009 he moved to RK Gorenje Velenje , with whom he became champion in 2012 and 2013. At the end of the 2012/13 season he was loaned to the Qatari club El-Jaish for the Emir's Cup. With Velenje he reached the quarter-finals in the EHF Cup in 2010/11 and 2011/12 and the last 16 in the EHF Champions League in 2009/10, 2012/13 and 2013/14. With 54 goals in the 2013/14 group stage, he was one of the top scorers. In March 2014 he moved to the Qatari al-Sadd Sports Club . In the 2014/15 season he ran for the French club Pays d'Aix UC . He then moved to al Shabab in the United Arab Emirates .

Cehte is part of the Slovenian national team . He was in the extended squad for the 2010 European Championships , but was not called into the final squad. So far, he has played 41 international matches , most recently in 2016, in which he scored 102 goals.
