Klemens von Korff called Schmising (born April 18, 1834 in Münster , † March 25, 1921 there ) was a landowner and Prussian district administrator.

Life

Klemens von Korff called Schmising came from the Westphalian noble family von Korff as the son of the married couple Klemens von Korff called Schmising and Pauline Maria Franziska von Merveldt . After graduating in 1854, he studied law and economics at the Universities of Bonn and Göttingen . From April 1, 1856 to the end of March 1857, he did his military service as a one-year-old volunteer in the cuirassier regiment "von Driesen" (Westphalian) No. 4 and was last cavalry master in the Landwehr cavalry. On October 28, 1858, he received permission to take part in an 18-month training course as a district administrator at the Münster district government. In 1864 he was elected district deputy and on September 18, 1896, the Halle district council unanimously elected district administrator of the Halle district. On June 15, 1911 he was released from civil service at his own request.

He was a member of the Provincial Parliament and the Prussian mansion for life. Von Korff married Ferdinande von Fürstenberg on August 21, 1860 . The marriage resulted in a son and two daughters. Levina was married to August von Galen (1866–1912). Their son Christoph was the papal secret chamberlain.

Klemens von Korff was the owner of the manor on Tatenhausen .

His father was district administrator of the Halle district from 1855 to 1875 , his uncle Maximilian was district administrator of the Lüdinghausen district from 1840 to 1856.
