Kobe Tai (born January 15, 1972 in Taipei , Taiwan ; also Kobé Tai ; actually Carla Carter ) is an American actress and former porn actress of Taiwanese and Japanese origins.

Kobe Tai was adopted by an American family from Arkansas when she was five months old .

Her first employment as an actress in a hardcore porn film took place in 1996 under the name Blake Young or Brooke Young . She had an exclusive contract with Vivid Entertainment , of which she was the first Asian actress.

In 1997 she married porn actor Mark Davis , and in 1999 the couple divorced.

When Kobe was expecting her first child in 2000, she stopped working in the porn industry. In December 2001, Kobe Tai briefly resumed her work as an actress in the porn film industry. The last film in which she worked with her co-actress Jenna Jameson was called Jenna Loves Kobe . In the course of her career she has appeared in both heterosexual and lesbian porn films. Tai is one of the most popular porn actresses of East Asian origin, the US magazine Complex listed her at number 1 on a list of the best Asian actresses. The toys manufacturer Doc Johnson brought in 2001 an artificial vagina onto the market, which was modeled after an impression of Kobe Tai's genital area.

In addition to her career in the porn industry, Tai also worked as an actress. Under the name Carla Scott , she played a stripper in the film Very Bad Things , who is killed at a bachelorette party. She can also be seen together with Janine Lindemulder in the skateboarding documentary The End, produced in 1998 with the well-known skateboarder Tony Hawk . Hawk's company Birdhouse subsequently released skateboards with pictures of four Vivid girls, including Kobe Tai.
