Konrad Ferdinand Geist von Wildegg
Konrad Ferdinand Geist von Wildegg (born February 22, 1662 in Ravensburg , † January 15, 1722 in Konstanz ) was auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Konstanz from 1693 to 1722 .
Life
Geist was baptized as the son of Ferdinand Geist and Barbara Pappus von Tratzberg on February 22, 1662 in Ravensburg. In 1679 he began studying at the University of Dillingen . From 1682 to 1686 he continued his studies at the Germanicum in Rome. There he celebrated his ordination on June 3, 1685 . In the same year 1686 he received his doctorate in theology from the university . In 1687 he returned to Constance and became a canon at the St. Johann choir.
On May 18, 1693 he was appointed titular bishop of Tricale and auxiliary bishop in Constance. On July 31, 1693, he received the episcopal ordination in Meersburg . From 1694 to 1711 he was vicar general and from 1704 president of the spiritual council and owner of the archdeaconate of Suevia.
He died on January 15, 1722 in Constance and was buried in the local cathedral.
